Creating Your Style With Vision.

After you’ve identified and noted what style you tend to gravitate towards whether it be edgy, trendy or simple and classy. Now comes the time to create that imagery (ie. the style)

The style vision is that clear picture in your mind of what you want to look like or the image of want you desire your appearance to be.

Let’s back up, if you haven’t identified your style, dont worry it’s simple. Start with looking up outfit inspiration images on your phone and see what you find, what catches your attention save them and compile them into a style vision board. This inspo board can be used as a basis for identifying your style.

Pin Point Your Goal
Having an identified vision gives you a clear direction on where to go. Do you desire to look more professional or more adult or simply just a little more feminine, whatever it is you need to name it and understand it makes it easy to achieve

Note the Key Features of the Style.
What are the key features of the style is it neutrals, or more dresses or more tailored items or more power suits. The key is to note the common theme on the style vision board then focus on incorporating it into your current style.

Arranging The Style.
Styling is about combining and arranging the different elements resulting in a good final outcome. Start with what is currently available to you in your wardrobe, mix and match your clothing creating the style you’ve identified.

When you go shopping don’t get what is currently in or what looks good at that moment. Have your vision in mind and get items that align with your vision. The aim is to build towds your ultimate style, one piece at a time.

Can’t get this right.

Don’t rush the process, along the way there will be some hits and there will be some misses. It takes time to understand what works and what doesn’t work on you. A bit of practice and you’ll get it.

Change is Okay

As your preferences change its more than okay to adapt the vision making it more appropriate to your current circumstances, maybe you’ve changed careers or become older and what used to work doesn’t work anymore, that is okay. Adapt accordingly.

Creating your style based on a clear image in your mind is being on purpose in your personal styling efforts.

Timeless means items which are always in style yle. Trendy pieces come and go but there are those few things that never go out of style. Find them and wear them an example is a pair of well fittinj7g pants and Button-Up shirt or a simple classy dress.

3.Be A Little Bold

Be a little bold with your with your colour choice. This is the time to bring on the colour, wear something red or dark green or yellow. There are a wide range of beautiful colours to wear pull them out its their time to shine.

Defining Your Personal Style

In order to define your style you first need to understand what Feels Good on you.

Personal Style has everything to do with what feels good on you, there really is no rule for it. Its about expressing yourself visually and being true to to self at the same time.

Finding it is actually a process of trial and error, you try something it does not work then you try something else till you find what clicks for you.

There are many different styles, Street wear referring to edgy clothing worn everyday then there’s high fashion clothing straight from the runway.

Choose The Category

Formal wear is very clear its the black tie and fancy dress. It’s that dressed up clothing, you know it right. The Main objective here is going somewhere offcial.
Casual is laid back clothing worn everyday for ordinary day to day life. Casual does not mean slouchy clothing it means non formal it can still be put together in a simple way.
Semi-casual is the slightly more tricky one, it’s a combination of the two, it’s somewhere in between. Some love it some hate it the reason is mainly because it’s not easy mixing the two. It may come across like it’s a bit undecided.

It’s a The Process

Know that the whole thing is a process. It’s takes time to find what works for you and remember it’s not a rash you have to refine the style over time. It’s about building a collection that is going to be with you for some time, at least that’s what I believe. You want to collect items gradually don’t be pressured into getting what is currently trendy because the issue with that is they are in and quickly out again. You want items that will last a good while

Actually Choosing

So how do you actually choose, well you have to get your hands dirty. Create an visual board of the different styles and colours that connect with you or identify one or two people with a style that connects with yours, analyse it then try some items you have seen. It’s okay to keep adjusting till you feel most comfortable remember it’s about finding your personal style not just taking someone else’s. That’s individual flair is necessary.

To get you started here a Five Wardrobe Must Haves

Jeans
A jean can be worn with most things for many occasions. It’s a versatile piece that can be dressed up or kept simple. Have plain Jeans blue and black( the favourite one this because they generally more flattering ) without crazy designs so that it can function in most environments.

Blazer : A Blazer is a good piece to have on hand for more dressed up situations it can thrown one and used simply to create a more put together look.

Button-Up Shirt: White (Any Colour Really). Button Up shirts are very useful can be worn formally and or in a more laid back set-up. They will save your life on countless occasions.

Good Killer Dress. Again very versatile can be worn on multiple occasions these can be more dressy or more casual both is preferable (a LBD Little Black Dress and another get dressed and go dress)

Long Coat. A Long coat is flattering because of its length when worn it becomes a statement piece. Simply elevating your look ( that is, doing everything for you.)
